One lad came up with an unconventional way of breaking up with his 'cheating' girlfriend

When breaking up with a partner, most of us opt to do it face-to-face.

But this lad chose a slightly less conventional way to end things with his girlfriendafter discovering she had been cheating on him.

The young man bought a card for his ' adulterous' partner, with the intention of presenting it to her at his own birthday dinner that night.

Originally, the front of the card read '"This card will feel heavy", while a pleasant message inside it finished: "Because it's packed full of good thoughts."

But in a hilarious act of revenge, the lad scribbled out the interior message and replaced it with the words: "Because it's packed with your house key."

He then taped his girlfriend's actual house key to the card, clearly implying that he was kicking her out of their shared home.

Beneath the key, he wrote a couple of lines, telling his girlfriend how he knew she had been dating and sending 'sexually-charged' texts to other men.

"Now that you’re single, you don’t need to feel guilty about your sexually charged texts w/ Michael, going on dates w/ Jared, or about getting drinks tomorrow with Derek," he told her.

He initially wrote 'Heidi' before replacing the name with 'Derek', suggesting that his girlfriend had falsely told him that she was having drinks with a female friend.

However, the inside contains some explosive news - as well as the girlfriend's actual house key

The young man was apparently so pleased with his ultimate revenge that he posted an image of the card on Reddit, for millions of social media users to read.

Using the name BinanoSplat, he captioned the picture: "Found out my girlfriend is cheating on me. Giving her this card tonight at my birthday dinner."

However, the lad's plan spectacularly backfired after his post went viral, resulting in his girlfriend's best friend seeing the card ahead of the dinner.

"Update - it's ruined... thanks Reddit," the boyfriend commented underneath the image, adding: "Her bestie found this and called her."
